PROFILE
Hello,
I'm just and ordinary girl who's bored and decided to write down my thoughts that'll hopefully bring some entertainment to others.
I don't have any hobbies, all in all I'm a pretty boring person with a lack of interest in almost everything
Okay so that's a little exaggerated, but I really am rarely ever really enthusiastic about anything
I wish my life was a little more interesting like in the novels I read and sometimes obsess over
Something Borrowed

So I went to go see the movie Something Borrowed on Tuesday and I just wanted to express my disappointment towards the film. Of course others may disagree but this is purely my personal opinion.
So the film is pretty much a typical romantic comedy that we often see; girl likes boy, boy likes girl but neither say anything about their feelings. Other girl steals boy, time skip 5-6 years later. Boy and girl still has lingering feelings for each other. You know the typical stuff. But what really got to me was that the main character who is very much still very much in love with the guy (who is now her best friend's fiance) can sleep with him. Ohh sure they were both drunk, blame it on the alcohol.
As if that wasn't enough, the two decide to continue on with this little mistake just to see what "this" could be. Her best friend may be a bitch but that's not reason to have your best friend and fiance doing the nasty behind your back. I can understand that the two main characters love each other and the best friend is the only obstacle stopping them from being together, but if it's gotten to that point why not just call off the wedding and set things right before it gets blown out of proportions.
It just bothers me that two close friends can let a guy get between them and end up not speaking to each other anymore. Well I guess that makes sense, I wouldn't want to talk to the girl that seduced my fiance. Of course it's not just the girl's fault, the guy is equally to blame. I mean if you love the girl then tell her. And if you don't love the girl don't propose to her, only to question yourself and then sleep with her best friend.
Not that the actors in the movie didn't do a good job but it's the plot that has me so frustrated. I cannot even begin to express my dissatisfaction towards the fact that cheating on someone is okay because you are actually in love with the other person. If you don't love the person then just end the relationship. Stop wasting both parties time. It boggles my mind how people cannot understand that simple fact.
I have to admit there are some memorable moments in the movie, however that was no enough to dissuade from unfaithfulness coming the fiance and best friend. I can only blame myself for going to see the movie even though I knew very well this was in fact the plot.
Relationships really don't last, being love or friendship which is quite saddening... I could go on and on about this topic but it's almost 3:30 in the morning and I really need to sleep. Until next time all.
